Hey, I’m Michael.

This is my story.

My journey so far

I fell into photography in 2013 while I was studying Business at university in London. I started by photographing weddings and private events and this is how I ended up in a fully fletched creative career.

I spent the next seven years working as a Creative Content Producer for various charities where I picked up other creative disciplines such as graphic design, videography, web design etc.

At the start of 2024, I left my job and started Gridbury. I decided to go freelance and use my experience and skills to help as many people as possible.

It’s about more than pretty pictures

Having had a background in business and marketing I understand that effective communication goes beyond words.

Design and Photography is more than just a collection of pretty graphics and pictures, it's a strategic tool that can elevate your brand’s presence and connect with your target market on a deeper level.

I want to help you grow your business and connect with your audience by showing who you are and what you do.

About me

Introvert: I don’t see my introverted nature as a problem to fix or hide from but as a powerful quiet gift. For example, I’ve learned to ask deeper questions to understand what my clients truly need.

Multi-cultural: Born in Germany to Sri Lankan parents, grew up in London since I was a teenager. Having been raised with multiple cultures means that I have a natural ability to adapt to people from all types of backgrounds and personality.

Person of faith: My faith in Jesus shapes not only what I do but how do it. His love for me motivates me to go above and beyond for my clients.

Nerdy collector of things: Books, stationery, cool mugs and house plants (although they don’t live very long). I find it very hard to walk past a bookshop without going in. If you know, you know.
